Welcome

Welcome to The Kirk of the Keys Presbyterian Church! We anticipated you might have a few questions. Read below to find out the answers to some of those questions. If you have more questions please feel free to browse through more of our site or contact us and we will be more than glad to answer any more questions you may have.

How do I get to the Kirk?

We are located oceanside on US 1 at the flashing light across from the fire station and airport at 8877 Overseas Highway in sunny Marathon, Florida.

What should I wear?
When you visit the Kirk of the Keys, you will discover that our dress is casual and comfortable. Please don’t buy anything special to worship with us. We want you to feel welcome and accepted for who you are, and Sunday mornings are not meant to be a fashion show! We’ve never brought up the topic of ‘what to wear’ at church. People just come as they are – and that’s the way we like it. Collar and slacks, t-shirt, jeans and flip-flops – just wear what you want. You won’t stand out either way. We’ve even seen some cowboy boots from time to time – it’s the Florida Keys!

Do I have to give away money?

Only if you want to. Actually, if you are our guest, we prefer that you don’t. Financially supporting the Kirk is ultimately an act of worship to God of those who are committed to our vision and mission. If you would like to leave an offering or gift, we provide an offering box at the back of the sanctuary during the 9 am service and an offering plate is passed during the 11am service.

Some final words…

As excited as we are each week for worship, what we’re really excited about is what happens after worship! We think a healthy church is “the church” all the time…not just on Sunday mornings for one hour. We believe the whole point of the church is that the Gospel creates a community of people that are sent out on a mission. We’d love for you to be a part of the Kirk journey for God, for People, for a Change.

We know that life can be chaotic, and we know that in a small town it’s easy to feel alone. That’s why “community” is our middle name. We want to help you find a place where you can connect with others in your stage of life and pursue your spiritual journey with others. The best way we’ve found to do that is through small groups, you can read more about those here. – See more at: small groups

So come on by sometime and see what God does in your life!
